Promising Results for Conus Cauda Syndrome

Conus Cauda Syndrome affects the spinal cord and causes patients to experience back pain, weakness, changes in sensation, bladder dysfunction, and motor deficits.

Patients undergo 25 recoveriX sessions with pre-assessments and post-assessments to objectively describe improvements. The following tests are performed:

  • Fugl-Meyer Assessment: Measures motor functions in the lower and upper extremities and includes parts that measure pain, sensation, and passive joint movement.
  • 10 Meter Walk Test (10MWT): A clinical assessment used to measure an individual’s walking speed over a short distance, employed to evaluate mobility and functional capacity. Normal: 7 seconds.
  • Timed Up and Go (TUG): Assesses mobility and requires balance and coordination. The test measures the time, in seconds, it takes a patient to get up from a chair, walk 3 meters, turn around, and sit down again. Normal: 10 seconds.

Here, we present the results of one male patient who was diagnosed with Conus Cauda Syndrome 6 years ago. The patient reported chronic pain at a level of 5/10, tinnitus, and limited motor functions in his legs. Medication did not improve his pain.

After 25 recoveriX sessions the Fugl-Meyer Assessment shows significant improvements in pain. The patient was actually pain-free and passive joint movements also improved.

Fugl-Meyer Assessment Lower Extremities measures the motor functions in lower extremities. Normal: 34

The video shows the 10 MWT before and after recoveriX. The patient’s time improved from 4.8 seconds to 3.7 seconds.

This video shows the TUG test before and after recoveriX. The patient’s time improved from 21.3 seconds to 15.6 seconds.

To summarize, the patient was pain-free after the recoveriX therapy, the tinnitus significantly improved, motor functions greatly enhanced, and the patient felt healthy again. This remarkable recovery occurred within 18 hours of therapy after suffering for 6 years. Important is to point out that this was achieved without medication or surgery.
